Artist’s Statement
My artistic practice is a journey of exploration: an exploration of ideas, of self, of people, of the world. Play, experimentation, and observation are important parts of my process and often lead me in directions I never expected. While play may yield the spark of an idea, careful reflection and focused effort are necessary to create finished work. I have a deep respect for artistic craft. I would like to create objects of beauty, significance, and meaning that people will choose to live with.
